Harry Rilling is a retired police official and politician from Norwalk, Connecticut. He was born on October 11, 1946, and he spent the majority of his career in the Norwalk Police Department. He joined the department in 1971 and worked his way up the ranks, eventually becoming the Chief of Police in 1995. He held this position until his retirement in 2001.
After leaving the police department, Rilling became involved in politics. He was elected as the Mayor of Norwalk in 2013 and was re-elected in 2017. During his time as Mayor, Rilling has focused on improving the city's infrastructure and expanding economic opportunities. He has also been a vocal advocate for education and has worked to improve the city's public schools.
Rilling is known for his community involvement and his dedication to public service. He has received numerous awards for his leadership and service, including the Norwalk Police Department's Outstanding Service Medal and the Norwalk Rotary Club's Service Above Self Award.
